The engine roared beneath me as I pushed the accelerator to the floor, the Aston Martin Vulcan responding with a surge of power that echoed my frustration. Ayra was out there, alone and vulnerable, and every second wasted felt agonizing.
As I weaved in and out of traffic, my knuckles turned white against the leather steering wheel. Each passing car was an obstacle in my path, a hindrance to my desperate mission. I cursed under my breath, the frustration boiling inside me threatening to spill over.
