Chapter 581
They had barely taken a few steps when they saw Douglas Parker and Stanley Wilson being helped out, looking totally battered.
Stanley's clothes were ripped—he’d torn them up himself to do a quick patch-up. Douglas had a knife still stuck in the back of his hand, and blood was still seeping from two wounds. For an artist, their hands are everything, so the scene was pretty shocking.
Gasps erupted from the group.
"Mr. Parker!"
The classmates rushed toward him.
Even with his face pale as a sheet, Douglas couldn’t care less about himself. He anxiously blurted out, "Leslie's missing! Call the cops, now. Some masked man took her!"
Just then, the rumble of an SUV engine roared from behind. The car raced up, screeched to a halt, and Broderick Ackerley stepped out.
