"Come on, let's go! I have something important to deal with right now," Perseus said, tugging Phanes into the car. He then started the engine and sped toward the hospital, his mind racing as he tried to figure out how to get rid of Camilla later. Phanes was always threatening to kill someone, after all. It was simply too much to bear, especially since Perseus couldn't even defend himself against her. "Did my mother actually say that you're, uh, my woman?" Perseus asked, clearing his throat. As soon as Perseus began driving, Phanes' attention went straight to his hands, causing her to momentarily lose sight of her intention to kill Clarissa. "Yes, she did—no question about it," Phanes replied, nodding slightly. "Isn't there a chance that my mother was just joking about it? You know, friends joke around like that all the time," Perseus said with a sheepish grin, hoping to ease Phanes' grip on the situation. He honestly didn't think he was good enough to warrant such attention anyway
