Chapter 2441
All of a sudden, a series of ferocious, dragon-like roars echoed in Perseus' mind, striking fear into his heart and jolting him awake from unconsciousness.
"Ted, you fucking bastard!"
Perseus opened his eyes, only to find himself in complete darkness. He stuck out his hands but couldn't see a thing. A wave of panic rose in his chest for reasons he couldn't explain.
It was human nature to fear the unknown.
"Son of a bitch, why did he set me up? Let me out of here right now, Ted!"
"Hey, punk. I'd watch my tongue if I were you. Wanna push your luck? Keep this up, and I'll lock you in there forever!" Ted's voice suddenly rang out in Perseus' mind.
"What are you trying to do? Let me out!" Perseus demanded. He scanned his surroundings, but there was no sign of Ted—not even a ripple of energy.
Instead, the only thing he could sense was an abundance of spiritual energy enveloping him. But even that couldn't ease the panic in his heart.
