As the event drew to a close, a waiter entered and handed over the bill. By then, the lively atmosphere in the private room had subsided. Carl tipsily glanced at the bill and slurred, "It's 45,000 dollars. How many of us were here today? Let me see… We'll split the bill evenly." Though everyone was doing well financially, a meal costing thousands wasn't something everyone could shrug off. Some pulled out their phones to use calculators, while others silently sipped their tea. The few bottles of red wine they added later on were quite expensive, and most of them ended up getting drunk by the men.
