Chapter 36
The last time Renata met with Eduardo, he had told her about a particular document he wanted her to steal from the Hidalgo estate.
But one thing she failed to do was to ask what document it was.
“How could I be so stupid?” She groaned as she slammed the laptop shut before her.
She stared at her phone which was on the table, beside the laptop. Reluctantly, she dialed Eduardo’s number again, but this time it didn’t connect just like the few times she had tried.
“No… this doesn’t seem good,” she shook her head while staring into space.
Looking around the study, she decided to grab her bag and head out to the apartment Eduardo had given to her the previous day.
As she walked into the living room, her eyes were fixed on the wall clock. Santiago’s flight would be landing in an hour and she was meant to pick him up at the airport.
“Just an hour,” she sighed and slammed the door behind her.
Renata didn’t think twice before deciding that taking her own car to see Eduardo was a very risk
