Suddenly, a tall figure approached their table. Levi clearly wasn't bothered about formalities as he casually pulled out a chair and sat down.
Calvin raised an eyebrow, mildly surprised. "What are you doing here?"
Levi lounged back, crossing his legs lazily. "That's my question to you, Calvin. I got here first. How'd you even know about this new barbecue place?"
Before Calvin could respond, Hailey interjected with a bright smile, seizing the opportunity to make herself useful. "It's because I brought him here. Since we've run into each other, why don't we all eat together?"
Though she wasn't fond of Levi, she knew better than to offend Calvin's brother openly. After all, she was angling to become a part of the family herself. Making friends was far better than making enemies.
Levi finally turned his gaze to Hailey, sizing her up before smirking. "No thanks. I don't enjoy dining with stalkers. It ruins my appetite."
Hailey's smile faltered. "Mr. Thornton, what do you mean by that?
