It was past midnight when Cameron got back to his villa. He sank into the couch, thought for a moment, and sent Audrey a text.
"I thought it was you who upset Grandma. I was wrong. I'm sorry."
After a few minutes, he noticed that the message still hadn't been delivered, and her profile picture had changed to a blank gray icon.
Cameron stared at the screen for a moment before it hit him—she'd actually blocked him.
She was the one who had begged to marry him, yet she ended it as if it meant nothing. What a heartless woman!
He shouldn't have given in and let her be his wife for three years.
Cameron sat there for a long time, forcing the emotions back down.
