Chapter 59 Disgusting
Audrey had just finished her shower and was toweling her hair when a frantic knock grated on her nerves. Who would show up this late?
She went to the door and looked through the peephole. The moment she saw who it was, her expression darkened.
Cameron was slumped against the wall, unsteady on his feet, his face flushed an unusual red. He reeked of alcohol.
She wondered if he was out of his mind. They were divorced, yet he still had the nerve to show up to bother her.
Audrey hadn't wanted to deal with Cameron, but she was worried he would wake the neighbors.
With no other choice, she opened the door and let her temper out. "Cameron, what is wrong with you now? We're divorced!"
The words were barely out of her mouth before she sensed something was off.
His gaze was unfocused, heat burning behind his eyes, and his breath came rough and uneven. This wasn't what a drunk looked like.
Before she could think, Cameron lunged at her, as if he had finally found an outlet for his desire.
