Joseph asked smilingly, "Oh, being two-faced, are you now?" This kid could wait for his mother but not his father. Jasper scooted close to Chloe. "I decide whether to forgive you or not, and you were really late. How could you blame me?" Joseph scoffed. "Isn't it nice for your mother and me to spend some time alone and give you a baby sister sooner?" Chloe smacked Joseph's chest. "I never agreed to have another baby! Go and have a baby with someone else!" The pain made Joseph gasp. "Are you trying to kill your husband?" "Yes. I wouldn’t want to have another baby if you're dead." Joseph gripped her wrist and chuckled. "I'm kidding." "But I took you seriously." She glared at him, both coquettishly and angrily. Chloe hadn't taken any contraceptive precautions last night. Besides, she hadn’t considered having another child because they had just gotten back together. She wondered if she would keep the child if she was really pregnant. She didn't resist it but now was not the right time. "A baby sister?" Jasper's eyes lit up. He looked at Chloe eagerly. "I want a sister, Mommy. I'll love and protect her. I'll even change her diapers, make her milk, play with her, and help her with her studies." A myriad of emotions flitted through Chloe's eyes, and she patiently explained to Jasper as if she were talking to an adult, "It's not that I don't want to, but I had a Cesarean when I gave birth to you. I’ll probably have to have another C-section if I have another child. It'll put me in great danger and make me very weak." Jasper wondered why this would put Chloe in danger. He didn't understand this much as he was too young. The only thing he knew was that women gave birth to children. He wanted to seek clarification but the driver had arrived at the door. The driver respectfully ushered them into the car and drove them to their chosen tourist spot for the day. Joseph called Callum during the car ride. "You think Ken helped Xavia escape?" Callum asked. "Yes, we can confirm that because Xavia got away at the airport,” Joseph said. The airport had tight security. It was a semi-enclosed area even before passing the boarding gate.
