Chapter 954 Stella Turner
Chloe asked the crowd, "Is it that easy for you to earn a few million? Why do you make it sound like it’s just a snap of the fingers?"
"It isn't easy for us, but it’s easy for you,” a man said.
"I'm sorry, but my money was hard to come by too. I won't stop you if you want to support your idol. Oh, I see you have a ring on your ring finger. You must be married. You really should choose the right platform if you want to do charity and not be fooled. Your wife will get mad at you if your joint property goes to waste."
"Why you..." The man was struck speechless, and his expression was hideous.
Xavia looked angry too. Gripping the microphone hard, she asked, "Are you saying I'm cheating everyone out of their money?"
"No, that’s not what I meant."
"Then what do you mean?"
"Well..." Chloe grinned and casually pointed at the stage set up nearby. "Don't forget to pay for the venue."
Xavia had to pay for this spot as it was land owned by the Sullivans.
Thinking that victory was on her side, Xavia put away her awkwardness and put on a noble front. "Yes, I'll pay for it after the charity event ends. Sorry for the trouble."
Chloe pursed her lips. "Also, you’ll have to stop during lunch hour so that you won’t disturb my employees." She turned and walked away.
As Xavia watched Chloe leave, her hands clenched so hard that her fingers dug into her palms. She wanted to see just how long Chloe could remain arrogant.

"Hi, are you Chloe?" A woman who looked like a university student asked.
Chloe glanced at the unfamiliar woman before her whom she had never met.
"And you are?"
"I’m Noah's former uni classmate, Stella Turner. I read the criticisms floating around on the Internet and thought about looking for him." There was a note of hostility in Stella’s gaze.
"Noah’s at the Sullivan manor. Didn’t you call him?"
"I couldn't reach him. Did something happen to him?" Stella asked in concern.
After a pause, Chloe replied, "He's fine, but he can’t see you at the moment.”
"I'm glad to hear that." Stella breathed a sigh of relief and fished out her business card from her canvas bag. She handed it to Chloe while blushing. "I changed my number. Please give this card to him and tell him to return my calls when he has the time. I'm just worried about him…”
Chloe was surprised when she saw the business card. "You work at the psychology research institute?"
"Yeah. What about it?" Stella was confused.
"I’d like to make an appointment to see the dean."
"You’ll have to wait until next week because he's fully booked this week."
Stella recalled that Noah had brought Chloe to the institute to be treated by Alfred. Although Alfred did not discuss Chloe’s illness afterward, it usually was a serious case if he was treating her. Also, Chloe was practically comatose that day, and she looked much better now.
"I’d like to see Professor Alfred. Can you help me?" Chloe requested.
"Noah is well-versed in psychology too. Why don’t you ask him for help instead?"
Of course, Chloe was aware of this fact, but she had never talked to Noah about this subject, let alone now.
Chloe’s silence made Stella suspicious. She pretended to agree. "I have to ask Professor Alfred since it's not easy to get an appointment with him."
"Okay, thank you."
Stella tried calling Noah again on her way home but the call still went unanswered. After some contemplation, she texted him about Chloe's intention to see Alfred. In less than five minutes, Noah returned her call.
Stella excitedly answered the call. "You finally picked up.”
