“I…” I stiffly turned my head to look at Olivia and forced myself to meet her eyes.
Our faces were both streaked with tears, cold and pale under the dim light inside the car. The pain pressing against my chest made it hard to breathe, and for a moment, I truly did not know what I was supposed to say.

But the question kept repeating in my mind. Why hadn’t she told me about her pregnancy?
