Chapter 21 An Encounter With an Old Acquaintance
Nancy asked coldly, "What do you want?"
Raine mumbled, "I know you fired Rebecca because of me, but she's innocent. Take her back, and I'll apologize to you, okay?"
"Ms. Lidell, you think too highly of yourself. The company's business has nothing to do with you," stated Nancy coldly before she ended the call.
The disconnected tone rang in Raine's ear before she could say anything. She cast Rebecca an apologetic glance, saying, "I'm really sorry, Rebecca."
Rebecca was as pale as a sheet. "It's not your fault. Hang on, why did you call her 'sis'?"
Raine seemed to struggle with her words. "Actually… She's also a Lidell."
"What?" Rebecca was shocked.
