Emilia stood in the doorway, a bittersweet smile on her face. "I can't thank you enough for what you've done," she said. "I know now that I was wrong to try to hide the truth. Sometimes, the only way to heal old wounds is to face them head-on."
Rebecca hugged the older woman tightly. "I'm just glad we could help. Will you be alright here on your own?"
Emilia nodded. "Yes, I think I will. For the first time in a very long time, I feel... at peace. It's time for me to make my own life, free from the shadows of the past."
As they said their final goodbyes and climbed into the car, Luca turned to Rebecca. "I have to admit, I didn't believe in any of this when we first arrived. But after what we've seen, what we've done... it's changed everything."
Rebecca smiled, taking his hand. "It has. But I think it's changed us for the better. We faced our fears, we uncovered the truth, and we helped bring peace to troubled souls. That's something to be proud of."
