Once, Amara had damaged her uterus while saving Gus' life. He had sworn to take care of her forever, to live child-free for the rest of their lives together.
Who could have known that before "forever" came, they would already be separated by death itself?
Gus remained in that position all night. He had made up his mind.
Amara's parents were overseas, and the airline probably couldn't reach them immediately. If he could pull the right strings, he could claim her remains.
He would give her a proper funeral first. As for Rose's baby, he wanted nothing to do with it. He would spend the rest of his life honoring Amara's memory.
Having settled on this plan, Gus finally left his room. The butler, Simon Cross, hurried over to meet him. "Mr. Manning, thank goodness you're out. Ms. Walsh has had an emergency!"
