Chapter 1109: Christina Goes Missing
Tina recounted the events of the day to Jared, and it was only then that Jared realized Christina wasn’t actually mentally unstable.
“She was so convincing, even I was fooled,” Jared admitted.
Tina held his hand and reassured him gently, “It’s not your fault. She has feelings for the village chief’s son. They both want to take down the chief’s plans, so they could immediately sense something was off.”
With Tina’s comforting words, Jared thought for a moment and then wrapped his arm around her waist, rewarding her with a passionate French kiss.
When the kiss ended, dawn was breaking. Jared tucked the blanket over Tina and got out of bed to dress.
Tina propped her head up with her hand, watching Jared with an amused gaze as he dressed in front of her.
Her stare was so direct that Jared couldn’t help but laugh as he turned around. “If you keep looking at me like that, I’ll think you don’t want me to leave.”
“You’re right. I don’t,” Tina said, winking playfully at him.
