Chapter 794 You Don’t Plan to Ask Me About It

No one realized that it was already getting late. While they discussed the plan, the atmosphere in another room was a little tense. After Sandy returned to the room, she pulled a long face and kept suspecting that Ivan was up to no good. That jerk kept trying to approach her because he wanted to get something back, but she would never let him have it. It was hers! At that moment, Ivan was filled with rage. Seeing the insufferable look on Sandy’s face, he said angrily, “Woman, shouldn’t you give me a heads-up before you grabbed a bite? Didn’t you know I was waiting for you to dine together?” Sandy was so furious that she gave a bark of laughter. “Did I ask you to wait for me? Since when have we become chummy enough to dine together? You were waiting for me? Humph, I don’t trust you!” Ivan ground his teeth. “Why couldn’t I wait? You’re getting more and more unreasonable!” Sandy laughed once again and stared at him with a quizzical look. “Who are you calling ‘unreasonable’? Are we on good terms? Why am I unreasonable? Have I pestered you or beaten up your paramours? Why are you calling me unreasonable?” Sandy had quite a sharp tongue. When she was up against someone like Ivan, she would not hold back and immediately said what she wanted to say. Ivan was flabbergasted. He gritted his teeth. “I shouldn’t have brought you here!” With that, he got up and left. He slammed the door shut with a thunderous thud. Hearing that, Sandy worried that the door would fall off the hinges. “What’s wrong with this guy?” Sandy said and went back to her room. Ivan could do whatever he wanted. It was none of her concern anyway. As for the invitation to dine together, she suspected that he was looking for trouble. There was no way he would wait for her so that they could dine together. Besides, it was uncharacteristic of Ivan to bring her over. If not for the item he wanted from her, he would never waste his time and effort on her. Sandy snorted at the thought. … After Ivan left, he felt awfully frustrated and irritated. He was on the verge of an outburst, so he swiftly called Michael. Michael answered the phone. Ivan lit a cigarette and said, “Let’s go grab a drink?” Michael could sense his frustration through the phone speaker. “Sure,” Michael said and hung up. Then he put on a jacket and left the room. There was a bar downstairs. Both Michael and Ivan stayed on the same floor, where they could see each other’s room. Hence, they did not specify where to meet up. Ivan waited in the corridor. When he saw Michael leaving the room, he stayed where he was and waited for his friend to come over. After all, Ivan’s room was closer to the elevator. Slouching against the wall, Ivan still had a cigarette in his hand. Michael strode up to him and regarded his sullen expression. Michael did not have to guess to know why Ivan was angry. But he said nothing. Ivan took another drag and snuffed out the cigarette before tossing it into the trash can. As the two of them entered the stair shaft, Ivan could no longer hold himself back. He looked over at Michael and said, “Don’t you plan to ask me what’s going on?” “Do I have to?” Michael stared at him expressionlessly. Ivan’s thoughts were written all over his face. Ivan was dumbfounded. He frowned and clenched his teeth with frustration. “Once I get my mom’s stuff, I’ll teach this woman a lesson!” Michael raised his brows silently. He was obviously skeptical.
