Chapter 815 Could No Longer Hold It Back
Jonah raised an eyebrow. “Are you already at your breaking point?”
James’s expression changed. He could only awkwardly clear his throat and narrow his eyes.
He touched his nose and said, “Mr. Sadler, you knew she was hurt, and you were really worried when you found out. Why didn’t you ask about her injury?”
“Asking would just make her think I’m spying on her.”
James was at a loss for words.
Jonah watched Ivanka around the clock. Was that not basically spying on her?
She would surely think he had crossed the line if she found out, even though he did not intend to harm or protect her.
But James did not dare say that. He could only nod and say, “Mmm... Yeah, you’re right.”
Whatever the boss said was right, no doubt!
Jonah glanced at him casually. James tensed up and hesitated for a moment before asking, “So... should I continue preparing the item you requested last time? They might not return soon.”
“Yes,” Jonah replied promptly.
James acknowledged it. When he noticed that Jonah had no additional instructions for him, he proceeded to update Jonah on his work.

After Chiara hung up, she lost all interest in doing anything else. She endured for half an hour until she could finally leave work.
Without wasting any time, she immediately went to Theodore’s office.
She wanted to go home with him.
She suppressed her anger and decided that she would question him and Lyla together when they returned home.
When she reached his office, Theodore was shocked to see her there. Puzzled, he asked, “Oh, why are you here?”
Chiara noticed he was with other shareholders. She greeted them with a smile and said to Theodore, “I’m going home with you today.”
One of the shareholders chuckled, “Mr. Theodore, your daughter is so thoughtful and sensible.”
Theodore was pleased with the compliment. He laughed and said, “She is! Your daughter seems sensible too. The last time I saw her, she was really obedient and sensible.”
“Hahaha, my daughter is quite boyish. How could she be obedient? Anyway, since you’re heading back, I won’t bother you two.”
Theodore smiled and agreed. He stopped exchanging further pleasantries and went back with Chiara.
He was in a relatively good mood today. Things were beginning to improve after a long period of difficulty.
Theodore glanced at Chiara and asked, “Chiara, why did you suddenly decide to come home with me today?”
“I’m worried about you going out and drinking at social events. It’s not good for your health.”
Theodore was taken aback. “Huh? Isn’t it normal to have a few drinks for work these days?”
Drinks for business were inevitable; it was just part of the deal.
Chiara held back her anger and did not want to talk much with him. She stood aside silently.
Theodore did not notice anything wrong as he continued chatting with her. He asked, “How was work today? Did anything happen?”
“No,” she replied casually with indifference.
Theodore kept talking, but Chiara only responded when he asked a question. She did not want to say anything extra.
Their driver then picked them up. Chiara sat in the backseat and pretended to sleep. Seeing this, Theodore stopped disturbing her and started scrolling through his phone instead.
When they reached home, Chiara opened her eyes and exited the car. Theodore followed.
Lyla smiled when she saw Theodore and Chiara come home. “You two are back! I’ve prepared dinner. Let’s eat!”
Chiara, who had been suppressing her emotions, could no longer hold back when she heard this.
