After a moment of hesitation, Zachary couldn't shake the unease and sent a message to Jesse, "Have Adam check on Cynthia's condition."
Jesse, reading the message, wasn't the least bit surprised.
As expected. He knew Zachary wouldn't be able to suppress his concern.
Once the text was sent, Zachary felt an inexplicable sense of relief. He put his phone away and focused on his conversation with Marvin.
The discussion flowed naturally, and with Mason's endearing presence, Marvin decided to stay for dinner.
