CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED AND FORTY FIVE – MALPRACTICE INVESTIGATIONS
Over the next few days, as classes resumed in a fog of suspicion and resentment, Jasmine found herself drawn deeper into Tyler's improvised investigation. They pored over security logs, interviewed maintenance staff, and even managed to get their hands on some grainy CCTV footage from buildings near the gallery.
It was exhausting, often frustrating work. But slowly, a picture began to emerge. A picture that made Jasmine increasingly uneasy.
"Look at this," Tyler said one evening, spreading out a collection of rehearsal schedules in Jasmine's studio. "For the past month, there's a two-hour block every Wednesday night marked just 'private rehearsal.' No room assignment, no cast list."
Jasmine frowned. "That is odd. Have you asked any of the drama students about it?"
Tyler snorted. "They're not exactly talking to us right now. But I did some digging. Guess who's always present for these mystery sessions?"
"Montgomery," Jasmine said, the name leaving a bitter taste in her mouth.
