Seeing the situation, Scarlett quietly pushed open the car door and stepped out. However, the two of them stood behind the car.
"Ms. Payne, didn't you and Leroy already get divorced? Why are you here?"
Olivia had just returned from buying groceries when she spotted the vaguely familiar car.
Scarlett's lips curled in amusement at her words. "I was just giving Leroy a ride home."
It was a simple statement—no explanation, no extra details. Nevertheless, Olivia frowned, unable to make sense of what Scarlett was up to.
"Ms. Payne, since you two are already divorced, there's no need to keep entangling yourselves with each other. I hope you understand that."
Her tone carried a trace of helplessness as she looked at Scarlett. Thinking back to how utterly dejected Leroy had been after the divorce, Olivia couldn't bear to watch her son go through that all over again.
However, Scarlett merely smiled. "Mrs. Olson, I think there's been a misunderstanding. I never intended to remarry Leroy.
