She darted over to Julian, grabbed his arm, and sweetened her voice to the max: "Thanks for the concern. That one's on me." After apologizing sincerely, she gave Julian a pitiful look and continued, "Sorry, babe. I was just being a little dramatic... I kinda lost it when I saw that woman in your room. I promise, I won't leave your side again." She spun the whole scene with her best impromptu performance, leaving room for everyone's imagination to fill in the blanks. Then, out of view from the others, she shot Julian a cheeky grin of triumph. There was a flicker in Julian's eyes. Just like that, the mood changed on a dime. They were surrounded by women—and nothing sparks outrage faster than whispers of a homewrecker.
