The next morning she woke up on her side of the bed and found his place empty. On the cue, she heard shower running at the back that meant he hadn't gone to the office yet as he was taking a shower. Most of the time, whenever she would wake up, she would find the room empty yet full of his scent. Despite being married they would have minimal talk rather she would hesitate talking to him and often she would find his eyes on her as if she was observing her keenly and enjoying it. But what he said last night had left her in a dilemma. Was he beginning to love her? Love is a thing that was not supposed to be done with a woman like her. She thought it must be a mere attraction because she was sure after coming to know about her past he would hate her. She would suddenly become untouchable and filthy for him. And as Ayyan said, he would punish her badly. The word punishment alone froze her heart. Her mind recalled the scene when he was stabbing the dagger mercilessly into that man's chest. S
