Shawn glanced at Kathleen. "You seem to be doing great as well."
Kathleen wasn't sure if he was being polite or if his words had an underlying meaning. Either way, she didn't care.
She turned to look at the closed door before asking him quietly, "Do your parents not know that we're already divorced? Why did they invite me over?"
"You didn't want to come?" Shawn asked.
"We're already divorced. Isn't it awkward for me to be here?" Kathleen grumbled, "You have no idea how awful I felt on the way here."
"Then, why did you come over?" Shawn's tone became even more somber.
Kathleen frowned. "I got a call from your mom. I had no choice but to come."
"You could've refused."
"I could, but she was so excited. It would've been cruel to turn her down." She stood next to him. "Please tell them soon. Otherwise, it'd be quite awkward if they herded us together because they didn't know."
Shawn's face was stolid as he spoke. "I'll let them know."
"Alright."
The two stood in front of the wind
