About four hours after returning to the villa, Callie had just lulled Grape to sleep for a nap when the phone rang. It was Jaquan.
She glanced up and exchanged a look with Nelson, who was holding a baby bottle, ready to clean it.
She answered the call, and Jaquan's lazy voice came through, "The bidding has been moved up."
With that single sentence, the call ended.
Facing Nelson's questioning gaze, Callie repeated the message and then said, "It seems his people found out. But... is Cyrus really being held there?"
