He stopped abruptly.
“What’s wrong?”
“Did you forget? Lucia did all this because of you.”
The hatred in Callie’s eyes remained unabated as she openly expressed her emotions. “She’s gone now. You’re next.”
Jaquan, who had been serious moments before, chuckled lightly. “Then I’ll wait for your revenge.”
Callie shot him a fierce glare before stepping into the elevator and leaving. Outside, she hailed a cab.
On the ride, she tried to calm herself.
