Callie grew anxious. "Unload everything from the ship. You still have time to turn back. I’m not lying to you, Jaquan."
Jaquan spread his hands, a smug smile playing on his lips. "The ship’s already sailing. There’s no turning back, Callie."
Callie frowned as the vast sea stretched around them, Anbusea fading further into the distance. He was clearly heading out of the country. "Aren’t you afraid I’ll call the police?"
"And what would the charge be?"
"Transporting contraband."
"Have you seen it?"
Callie hadn’t. She wasn’t even sure if the ship was carrying cash or something else.
She took a deep breath. "I didn’t tell Nelson. I came here on my own."
