The large ship docked, and numerous small boats were waiting at the pier.
When Nelson arrived, the pier was completely sealed off, quiet and desolate. Mr. Morrow had made thorough preparations.
Owen stepped out of the car and glanced at the distant ship. Clicking his tongue, he remarked, "Mr. O'Connor is still wary of me. On a weekday like this, the pier should be bustling with people."
Nelson also looked into the distance and replied, "It wasn’t my arrangement."
Owen pulled out a pack of Marlboros from his pocket, lit one, and took a drag. "Then I’ll trouble Mr. O’Connor to make some arrangements."
Bridger frowned deeply and shook his head at Nelson. His phone vibrated. It was a message from Mr. Morrow, which Bridger handed over.
The message read: "Absolutely not! That ship has a bomb. If he makes a move, everyone dies."
Nelson took the phone and quickly typed a reply: "He wouldn’t dare. Let them in."
