Chapter 329: Becoming the Other Woman
Regan remembered and looked at her.
Callie, hearing the noise from the inner room, was about to come out but was stopped by Regan's hand gesture. She remained silent.
Regan watched as the other woman took a red ring box out of her pocket. She stepped forward, opened it, and said, "I found this on the bedside table this morning. I figured you might need it today, so I brought it over. Do you want to check it?"
Her words were skillfully crafted, hinting at a story that could easily lead to wild imaginations.
She added, "Don't tell Isaac I came. He'll be angry if he knows."
It was a man's ring, one that Regan had personally bought. It wasn't expensive, but Isaac treasured it.
From Callie's perspective, she thought Regan would be angry. But she wasn't. Regan politely took the ring from the woman's hand and thanked her, "Thank you for bringing it over. You could have called me; I would have picked it up."
