Sunny's gaze shifted from Spencer to Mason. Her expression didn't flicker, but the faintest curve touched her lips when she heard Mason's name.
It wasn't a smile. It was more like a faint, ironic realization. She looked at Mason and laughed.
The laugh spread across her delicate features, brilliant as poppies against the night, yet utterly cold, sharp enough to sting.
"Mr. Lowell," she said quietly, her voice carrying clearly to both men. "Long time no see."
