Chapter sixty-one:
AMELIA’s POV
This was too much. Alessia and her family didn't deserve this cruel fate that was meted onto them. I couldn't blame her father, losing two daughters in a horrible way was something very heart wrenching.
“Is there nothing we can do?” I wiped my tears. I was disheartened, and pained that the perpetrator was still out there. He was probably living a good life, while the ghost of Alessia was roaming restless, unable to find peace.
“I’ve done everything I could do. I got a list of those at the party, secretly investigated but found nothing.” She sighed.
“What did Cassio do about this?” I asked.
“He did his best, but like I said all evidence was wiped away. Please don't mention this to him, he’d break down. He and Marilyn were close, he didn't frolic with her like he did with the others. It was more like a brother-sister bond. He was so hurt that he shut himself from the world for weeks.” She revealed.
