“Oh.” Was all I could mutter, and I couldn't help the turn I felt in my stomach.
My memories taken from me were causing more harm than good, depriving me of what I could do next. There were a lot of things I couldn't remember, and I wouldn't act on the memories in my head because they didn't belong to me.
“You really don't remember anything…" She gazed at me softly and sadly, “My mom said you wouldn't remember me, and that you lost your memories from a fatal fall.”
I didn't know when a scoff escaped my lips. Yeah, right, a fatal fall… I did not respond to her anymore and I looked out to the window, trying to distract my thoughts.
The silence in the car had become even more uncomfortable after three hours and Kelly kept on humming to tunes that I had never heard of, but they certainly sounded familiar enough. And just as we were sitting in the silence, a thought struck my mind.
