Leona's POV
"Hey, are you alright?" Lulu turned to look at me. I glanced around uncertainly again. Nothing seemed amiss. Was I just being paranoid?
I shook my head. "I'm fine. It's my first time at a bar, I'm a little nervous." Lulu laughed at my words and pulled me into the bar. "Alright, first time over."
However, it actually seemed quite nice. Low music drifted from the floorboards. Purple neon lights flickered along the walls, softening every angle and casting silhouettes of relaxed smiles on everyone's faces. The place was vibrant—bustling, filled with laughter, the scent of perfume, and the metallic clinking of ice cubes in glasses.
Somehow, Lulu's hand was still tightly gripping mine. I felt…safe.
"See?" she said with a bright smile. "It's not scary at all."
I slowly exhaled and nodded. Maybe I was just imagining those stares outside. Maybe my inner wolfish instincts were overreacting. Maybe tonight I could… be a normal person.
Lulu led me to the bar. The bartender winked at us
