Liora's POV
At midnight, there was a knock on my bedroom door.
I groggily crawled out of bed and turned on the lamp, but I chose not to open the door.
"Lio, open the door. I want to talk to you."
Ethan's voice was hoarse and exhausted, but I didn't want to get out of bed.
"It's very late. We can talk tomorrow."
I didn't want to see him at all.
Ethan didn't answer me, but he kept knocking—urgently, as if to say he'd keep banging until I opened it.
My head buzzed. I was exhausted enough from the day, and I really didn't want to deal with him right now. Couldn't he just go straight to Olivia if he was really upset or needed comforting after getting a beating from Kieran? Or maybe he could even stay at Olivia's until he recovered?
Taking a deep breath, I raised my voice and said, "Ethan, if you keep knocking, I'll move out first thing in the morning."
