Chapter 101: Nelson's Dilemma
The late afternoon sun cast a warm glow over our living room as Jason and I settled in with our friends for what was supposed to be a casual get-together. The air was filled with laughter and the scent of freshly brewed coffee. Samantha and Nelson had just arrived, and while Samantha seemed her usual bubbly self, Nelson appeared preoccupied, a subtle tension lining his features.
"Nelson, you okay?" Jason asked, handing him a cup of coffee. "You seem a bit off today."
Nelson sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Yeah, I've got something on my mind. Actually, I need some advice. Can we talk for a bit, Jason?"
Jason nodded, concern etching his face. "Of course. Let's step outside for a minute."
As they headed out to the backyard, I caught Samantha's eye. She shrugged, a worried look in her eyes. "Do you know what this is about?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
