Chapter 76: Two-Timing
Hearing Arlia’s advice, Steve felt utterly speechless. It seemed like Arlia was just messing with him.
"I have nothing more to say to you."
"Don't hang up so quickly. Are you trying to woo your little assistant?"
"I’m not trying to woo her. I just want to reconcile with my wife."
"Then you shouldn’t be two-timing."
Steve felt even more exasperated. When had he ever two-timed? He simply admired Amia as his assistant because of how well she did her job. And now that he knew Amia was his legal wife, Steve was even more determined to protect her.
"Fine, fine. Since you say you’re not two-timing, I’ll believe you," Arlia replied half-heartedly. He figured Steve probably hadn’t had much experience with relationships, so who knew what was going on in his head? But since Steve was a friend, Arlia felt obligated to help him sort out his feelings.
