When Amia arrived at Julie's hospital room, she found Julie sitting on the bed, motionless, her eyes empty and distant like those of a lifeless doll. However, Julie's complexion had improved slightly, indicating that her health was recovering, which allowed Amia to breathe a sigh of relief.
"Julie, are you feeling any better now? Is there anything still bothering you?" Amia asked, her concern evident.
"I’m feeling much better now, and I don’t have any discomfort. It’s all thanks to you and everyone else for taking care of me," Julie replied. "But Amia, can you promise me something? I want to leave here as soon as possible. I want to go to San Diego; I don’t want to stay here anymore."
Amia understood why Julie wanted to leave so urgently—she wanted to distance herself from Arlia. Given that Julie now only had Amia to rely on, Amia knew how important her role was in taking care of Julie.
