Chapter 4. In The Dark-3

"Alanna Evans." I reply, flattening a hand to my chest as I introduce myself. I don't bother with my hood anymore, letting the wind whip it back. "Am I speaking to Jordan Akosi?" "That's me." He replies, starting to look suspicious. "Care to tell me why the mighty Alpha of River Moon is suddenly looking for me? Is Dante here?" "Forget Dante." I almost growl. "It's just me and my Betas." I point to the amber lights, edging closer to Jordan as he watches my every move. "I was hoping you could help me." The blank look on his face doesn't fade. Jordan crosses his arms in response, tapping his bottom lip as he begins to frown. I stay where I am, waiting for a reply. "You...want my help." He utters. The rain eases slightly. "You." He gestures at me. "Want my help?" A faint smirk spreads across his face. "Well, yeah." I reply sassily, shifting in my spot. "Why else would I stroll into rogue lands and start screaming your name like a banshee?"
