Abigail remained silent, standing right where she was.
"I'll say it one more time. Please leave," Joyce said, her face turning gloomy and her tone sharp with impatience.
Five years ago, a car crash nearly took her life. She survived, but when she woke up, she was hit with the devastating news that she'd never be able to play the violin again.
After that, she completely changed. She shut herself away in the dark, refusing to go outside, passing each day in isolation, quietly waiting for life to fade away.
Unable to play the violin, she had no more passion or purpose. With nothing left to hope for, she didn't see the point in trying anymore.
"Joyce, I'm not leaving. Since you already know why I'm here, there's no point avoiding it," Abigail said firmly.
She held up the device. "Adrian designed this specifically for you. I tested it myself.
"It's easy to wear and very comfortable. If you wear it consistently, it won't be long before we can tailor a treatment plan just for you."
