#Chapter 103 First Night at the Capitol
Carol’s POV
As soon as we landed, Aiden called his mother to check on his father’s condition. He was out of surgery, and it went well, but they are still monitoring him. His recovery is up in the air until he wakes up.
Since he’s freshly out of surgery, they aren’t allowing any visitors right now, so we decided not to go to the hospital right away.
I wasn’t really sure what to expect when arriving at the Capitol. I already knew it was a beautiful place and it reminded me of Washington DC with its buildings and open historical fields. There were also foresty areas in the far distance that I assumed they used for their wolves and hunting. I only knew a little about the wolf life from Zach but for the most part, the ways wolves live have been unknown to humans for generations.
We knew they existed and that they were amongst us, but we really didn’t know much about them.
