Nox shook his head and laid his head back down by the orb. Geoff leaned against Nox's side, looking out into the darkness. Nox knew something, yet his memory seemed blocked. Was it to protect the Wolf or the human it occupied?
He woke up later into the early evening, the light dimmed low. He sat up slowly, touching his head, the headache still there. He glanced around, but Adelaide wasn't with him anymore. He peered down at the blanket that had been covering him, her scent still lingered on it. He inhaled it, sighing and followed the scent from his office.
His nose lead him to their bedroom where the door was open just enough to glimpse inside. She wasn't in bed, but he could hear water splashing from their bathroom. He stalked in, shutting the door quietly behind himself. He made his way to the open bathroom, steam coming from it. It soaked his sh
