Chapter 100
OLIVIA’S POV
The moment we arrived at the hospital, I rushed through the entrance with Derek half-supported against me, his arm draped over my shoulders. A nurse immediately came to our aid and helped us into one of the emergency rooms. Despite Derek’s stubbornness, I’d insisted we come here. His head was still bleeding, and even though he tried to play it off with that stupidly calm demeanor of his, I could see the faint dizziness in his eyes.
“Just a surface cut,” he’d mumbled on the way over, “I’ve taken worse sparring with my Gamma.”
But I wasn’t going to take any chances—not after what happened.
The hospital had changed in the past few years. There were new faces, some unfamiliar staff. But that didn’t make the space feel any less suffocating. The memories of being locked up in the dungeon, of fainting during my pregnancy, of being manhandled by pack members who called me a liar, all came rushing back.
And then, like fate kicking me when I was already down, she walked in.
