OLIVIA’S POV
The silence in Dominic’s study was thick, heavy like a storm brewing just beyond the walls. I stood near the fireplace, the heat doing little to thaw the chill in my bones. Dominic was seated behind his desk, the flickering lamplight casting shadows across his features, making it hard to read him.
I hated that.
I hated how familiar this room was—how many decisions had been made here that changed lives. Now it was my turn to demand answers. My turn to make him listen. The only thing that has been bothering me is that he wants me to stay quiet.
“I’m not here to fight,” I said quietly, breaking the silence. “But I have something we need to talk about. Now.”
Dominic looked up slowly, his expression unreadable, jaw tense. “I figured you’d come.”
I handed the vial from my pocket to him. “There are four more of these hidden in her room. It’s laced with wolfsbane and something else—something toxic enough to kill or manipulate and mild enough that it can’t be detected. She’s involv
