By the end of the auction, my head was pounding. Too many emotions, too many stares, and far too many unsaid words. I was exhausted—not just physically, but emotionally too. I needed air. Space. Something real.
But before I could even signal Derek that I was ready to leave, something unexpected happened.
A pair of Lunas approached me, their elegant dresses swishing like waves with each step. I straightened instinctively, unsure of their intent. But instead of casting disapproving glances or delivering cold pleasantries like I was used to, they… smiled.
