DOMINIC’S POV
Ever since the moment Olivia walked away from me, for the second time, my mind hasn’t known peace.
I tried to tell myself it was just the bond, the mate pull… but deep down, I knew it wasn’t just that. It was her. Olivia. The woman I had once claimed thinking she is the answer to all my problems and my pack. The woman I let burn for the sake of lies wrapped in the illusion of duty.
And now she was back… but she wasn’t mine anymore. She was so close I could still smell the familiar warmth of her scent in the air, still hear the soft cadence of her voice whenever she spoke. And yet, she felt a thousand lifetimes away from me. No longer the woman who once melted in my arms, trusted me with her heart, or whispered dreams into the quiet of our shared nights.
