Joseph Grant glanced at the group of men his father, Edward Grant, had brought along and spoke uneasily, “Dad, are you sure these guys are enough? I mean, I’ve got a bad feeling about this.”
“How many of them went inside?” Edward asked, not looking particularly concerned.
Joseph frowned, clearly unsure. “It didn’t seem like a lot, but it’s not like we know how many people they’ve got in there.”
“Did anyone check who owns this place?” Edward turned to one of the men standing nearby.
The man straightened up immediately, almost stumbling over his words in his rush to respond. “I’ll get on it right away.”
Meanwhile, Marcus Sinclair gently took Elaine Foster’s hand, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. “Let’s go home,” he said, his voice calm but insistent.
Edward watched them leave and called out politely, “Mr. Sinclair, Mrs. Sinclair, take care.”
