Elaine's computer had a separate power supply—someone had to manually flip the switch behind the counter to boot it up, and in the end, that someone was Isabella.
The program had finished transferring, but the USB drive was still plugged in. Isabella didn't seem to notice it, and once she left, Elaine quickly and nervously pulled it out herself.
While the whole office was in chaos, Elaine sneaked out and found a quiet corner to call Milton.
The second he picked up, she blurted out, "Master, what the heck are you doing? Didn't I tell you not to mess around?"
On the other end, she could hear furious typing. Milton sounded laid-back as usual, "I wasn't fooling around. If I don't crash their network, there's no way to send it to you without leaving a trace."
"Still, this is a bit much, don't you think?" Elaine sighed. She couldn't really complain—after all, she was the one benefiting from all this, and she was grateful he managed to get that program over to her.
