Chapter 93
"But..." Fiona put on this deliberately shy look, like she was kind of embarrassed.
"But what?" Diana raised a brow, thinking Fiona was chickening out.
Fiona blurted out her concern, "Your Marcus still hasn't finalized his divorce. Isn't it kinda inappropriate for us to just show up like this?"
"I'm his sister. Why would it be a problem for me to go see him?" Diana said it like it was the most normal thing ever.
Which was exactly what Fiona had been hoping to hear. With Diana backing her up, she felt way more confident.
"You're just tagging along with me as my friend, that's all," Diana added, gently comforting her. "Seriously, don't overthink it. That divorce is bound to happen soon, and you—you're totally the best person to be his wife."
"Thanks, Diana," Fiona looked at her, full of gratitude.
Diana squeezed Fiona's hand, her voice excited, "My favorite Marcus on one side, and my bestie on the other—how perfect is this?"
The two made it all the way to the CEO's office without anyone
