#Chapter 65 - Public Opinion
[Violet’s POV]
I re-read the letter at least half a dozen times before folding it back up.
“What’s that?” Cathy asked.
“Oh, nothing important,” I said. “When Lucian and I meet up later, I’ll ask him how he wants to go about dealing with the news articles.”
Cathy nodded her head and thankfully let go of the letter. I wasn’t ready to talk to anyone about it. Especially, since I didn’t know what to make of it myself.
I quickly changed the subject to something slightly more pressing.
“Hey, I finished the draft of my proposal,” I told her. “I took your advice and made the appropriate changes. Would you mind reading it through and letting me know if I need to adjust anything further?”
“Sure thing! Is it in your office?”
“Yes, I’ll go get it.”
I stepped away from the counter and made it toward the Right Wing of the house. As I passed through the halls, one of the stewards caught my attention.
“My Lady, there is someone for you at the door.”
I tried not to cringe
