I put Aria to bed and went back downstairs. Today had been exhausting, but I did not want to seem rude. Drexon had said that Marcus came over to say hello to me, and as much as I would like him to leave, I did enjoy his presence. I was just a bit too tired to soak all of it in.
Both men are sitting silently alone in the living room with a cup of whisky or a scotch in hand; I could not tell the difference, and I did not want to bother to know the difference. They seem like they were both in their own worlds.
"I thought you had retired to bed. What are you doing here?" Drexon said as soon as I got into the room. I have to say he is good at noticing people's presence; it was kind of scary.
"We have a guest; I can't just go, I say, sitting on the single sofa, allowing them to enjoy the long sofa.
"Of course you can," his voice was flat.
"Drexon, I think that's rude; if I have a guest, I should make sure they are comfortable,, I say, and Marcus smiles at me before hitting his friend
